These directions take you on the prettiest drive - down along the Mississippi on the Wisconsin side. It's just as fast - maybe faster - as the route on the Minnesota side, and much easier driving.

Take I94 east

Go south on Hwy 61, toward Hastings

Turn east (left) on Hwy 10, toward Prescott, WI, just before you get to Hastings

Cross the St. Croix River into Prescott, and turn right, south, on Hwy 35

Follow Hwy 35 through Diamond Bluff, Bay City, Maiden Rock, Stockholm, Pepin, and Nelson (be careful, in Nelson Hwy 35 takes a sharp left turn - if you miss it and go straight, you'll end up across the Mississippi in Wabasha)

Keep following 35 south from Nelson until you cross over the Buffalo River, just north of Alma.

Just after crossing the Buffalo River, turn left onto Hwy 37

Follow 37 for about 7 miles to County Road N

Turn right on N. Go up to the top of the ridge, turn left on County Road T, and drive down the other side of the ridge

County Road T ends at Hwy 88, which is our road. Turn left on 88, and follow it for about 4 miles.

We are on the left side, our fire number is S1287 - we don't have a mailbox.If you get to County road U, you've gone too far. Turn around, head back down 88 and start counting driveways. Ours is the 3^rd driveway on the right past U.

a. The 1^st driveway is a farmhouse directly across from U
b. The 2^nd goes to a gray metal shed
c. The 3^rd is ours – it slants abruptly down the hill to the right and is just after the orange road sign warning of a 30 mph right-angle bend in the road.
