We've been working pretty hard on our plans for the farm. We bought the farm in the spring of 2000 and put a conservation easement on the property in the fall of that year. We worked with
Rick Gauger and the Wisconsin Farmland Conservancy
to get that easement put together. You can't do better than those folks if you're looking for advice and good ideas. Our next step was to learn as much as we could about approaches to reaching our goal of
restoring and expanding the areas of native habitat that are already on the property, and reconstructing native habitats on those parts of the property that have been in agriculture.
